Apple Learning Program

West Hollywood Elementary is proud to employ the use of several different Apple technologies throughout their classrooms. In 2011, West Hollywood Elementary began to use iPod Touches in the 2nd and 3rd grade in order to increase fluency and reading skills, teach math, social studies, and science. In 2011-12, we introduced a new program that puts Macbook laptops in the hands of every 4th, 5th and 6th grade student. In tomorrow’s digital age, we hope to equip our students with the technology needed to prepare them for their futures. Also in the 2011-12 school year, we are using iPads in the lower grades and teaching with the thousands of educational apps Apple has in their App Store.

We hope fundraisers will be able to raise the rest of the money we need to complete our Apple Technology Program. Below is the budget needed to complete a 1:1 program for the entire school.
